Completing the onboarding wizard

The first time you sign in, LexLens walks you through a short setup wizard so your feed is relevant from day one.

What the wizard asks

  1. Which practice areas do you follow? — pick one or more of the 27 areas of law. These drive your Home briefing, your feed, and your Morning Lens.
  2. Where do you practise? — select one or more jurisdictions (EU and member states). Your first pick becomes your primary jurisdiction.
  3. Your role — e.g. in-house counsel, private practice — this helps us tune your experience.
  4. Briefing cadence — how often you'd like your editorial briefing.

You can move through the screens with the on-screen buttons; nothing is locked in permanently.

Changing your answers later

The wizard runs once, but everything it sets can be changed afterwards:

  • Practice areas and jurisdiction — open Account Settings and edit Default Areas of Law and Default Jurisdiction, then select Save Preferences. You can also add or remove areas directly from the Your Areas widget on Home. See How do I change my areas of practice?.
  • Briefing and notification preferences — open Notifications from the Explore sidebar. See Managing your notifications.

Joining via a team invitation

If you were invited by your organisation's admin, your practice areas and jurisdiction may be pre-filled from your team's defaults — a starting point chosen by your firm. They're yours to change at any time; your personal edits are never overwritten by the team settings.
