How search works

LexLens search understands meaning, not just exact words — so searching for a concept will surface relevant items even when they use different terminology, including across languages. You don't need any special syntax; just describe what you're looking for.

Search respects your filters and plan

  • Any filters you have active (content type, area of law, jurisdiction, date) also narrow your search results.
  • Search results follow your plan: a Free account's results are limited to the content types available on Free (News, Blogposts, Social, Videos). Upgrade to Pro to search across all content types.

Tips for better results

  • Search by topic or concept ("state aid recovery", "data breach notification") rather than a single keyword.
  • Clear your filters first if a search returns fewer results than expected — an active filter may be excluding what you want.
  • Combine a saved search with filters as a Custom Lens (Pro) to re-run it in one click.
