Signing in with Face ID / Touch ID

The LexLens app can sign you in with Face ID or Touch ID, so you don't have to type your password each time.

Setting it up

There's nothing to switch on. The first time you sign in on a Face ID / Touch ID–capable iPhone, LexLens securely stores your sign-in in the device's Keychain. After that:

  • The app offers to unlock with Face ID automatically when you open it, and
  • A Sign in with Face ID button appears on the sign-in screen.

You'll see the iOS prompt "Use Face ID to sign in".

Turning it off

There's no separate toggle. To stop using biometric sign-in, sign out — this clears the stored credentials from your device. You can also disable Face ID for LexLens in iOS Settings → Face ID & Passcode.

If it stops working

  • "Session expired. Please sign in with your password." — your saved session has expired; just sign in again and Face ID will resume.
  • If Face ID isn't offered at all, sign in once with your password (or Apple/Google) to re-store your credentials.
