Inviting and removing team members

Inviting a teammate

  1. On the Organisation page, find Invite a teammate.
  2. Enter the person's email.
  3. Choose their roleMember or Admin.
  4. Choose the team they'll join (defaults to your General team).
  5. Select Send invite. You'll see "Invite sent to {email}."

The invite is valid for 7 days.

What the invitee experiences

They receive an email inviting them to join your organisation. When they open it they see who invited them and can:

  • Sign in to an existing LexLens account and select Accept invitation, or
  • Create a new account first, then accept.

Once accepted, they're in your organisation with the role and team you chose, and (if they're new) their practice areas and jurisdiction are seeded from that team's defaults.

Resending an invite

There's no separate "resend" button. To resend, simply enter the same email in the invite form again — this issues a fresh link and resets the 7-day expiry (and updates the role/team if you changed them). Pending invites can be Revoked from the Pending invitations card.

Removing a member

  1. In the Members card, find the person.
  2. Select Remove and confirm.

They lose access to your organisation on their next page load, but keep their own account and personal data. Removing someone frees up their seat.

Common messages

  • "That user already belongs to another organisation" — a person can be in only one organisation at a time. They'll need to leave the other first.
  • "Seat limit reached" — you've used all your seats. Remove a member or contact LexLens to add seats. See Understanding seats.
