Understanding seats

Your organisation has a number of licensed seats. The Seats card on the Organisation page shows how many are in use, e.g. "7 / 10".

What counts as a used seat

A seat is used by:

  • each active member, plus
  • each pending invitation that hasn't been accepted or expired.

So the card shows a breakdown like "5 active · 2 pending". Pending invites hold a seat so you don't oversubscribe; if an invite expires or you revoke it, the seat frees up.

When you're full

At 100% the card warns "Seat limit reached. Remove a member or contact LexLens to increase seats." and the Send invite button is disabled. To make room you can:

  • Remove a member who no longer needs access, or
  • Revoke a pending invite, or
  • Contact LexLens to raise your seat limit.

Increasing your seat count is not self-serve — it's arranged with the LexLens team.

Tip

If you're regularly at capacity, check Analytics for Dormant members (no activity in 30+ days) — reclaiming those seats is often the quickest fix. See Reading your organisation analytics.
